We reported earlier that Britney Spears was supposedly getting engaged tonight - well, we were partially right.
The proposal from boyfriend Jason Trawick was true- however, Jason actually popped the question last night, on his 40th birthday!
US Weekly broke the happy news. A source says, “this is something they’ve both wanted for a long time. It’s a way to cement their family. They’re both extremely happy and can’t wait to become man and wife.”
Britney herself hinted at the good news via Twitter last night:
@britneyspears: OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for. Can’t wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo
