Angelina Jolie’s “In the Land of Blood and Honey” Trailer
The trailer for “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” which Angelina Jolie wrote and directed, made its online debut today and – I have to be honest – I really want to see it.
Whether or not you like Angelina Jolie, this trailer alone is moving and does what most trailers have lost the art of doing in recent years – they make you want to know what happens next.
The plot is set against the backdrop of the Bosnian war in the 1990′s. It grabs you immediately, both with it’s harshness of war, and it’s heartbreaking love story.
The cast for the film is completely local, according to comingsoon.net, and most of them grew up during the time of the war. The film was also shot simultaneously in English and Serbo-Croatian, now referred to as BHS, which was the language spoken at the time.
The film is set for a December 23, 2011 release.
